A comment campaign turns comments into conversations. When someone comments with one of your keywords, they get a private message, and a short public reply appears under their comment.

Create a campaign

Click New campaign (1)

Give it a name, for example “Autumn price list”.

Add the keywords

Whole words in any language: price, prices, цена. Add * to include word endings.

Choose the posts

All posts, or only the posts you pick (for example the reel you’re promoting).

Write the private message and the public replies

The private message carries the offer or link. Add a few public replies (“Sent you a DM! 📩”, “Check your messages 💌”); one is picked at random each time so they don’t look automated.

Test it in the playground

Choose Comment in the playground and write a comment with the keyword.

Campaign ideas

Say the keyword in the post itself, in capitals: “Comment PRICE and we’ll send you the full list”. Comment campaigns often bring more conversations than any other post, and the post’s comment count goes up too.
Instagram allows one private reply to a comment within 7 days of it. The counter shows how many messages each campaign has sent.
